The "Four Pillars"
The Four Pillars at PMA represent the foundations of our teachings, much the same way that the four pillars of a building form the main structure of that building.
Honesty, Courtesy, Respect, and Discipline will be displayed at all times.General Etiquette
- Do Not Socialize in class
- Stand at Attention
- Bowing In/Bowing Out
- Personal Presentation
- Clean Uniform
- Belt Tied Properly
- No Jewelry
- No Foul Language
- Be On Your Best Behavior
- Show proper respect to your instructor & fellow students
- Fighting to the level of the lower belt student
School Rules
- Please address all instructors as "Mr.", "Sir", "Ms.", or "Ma'am"
- For both your safety and the safety of others - do not wear jewelry in class (Watches, rings, earrings, etc.)
- Never chew gum in class
- Do not lean on walls or equipment
- At the conclusion of the lesson, remain standing at attention until the instructor has left the mat
- Always seek permission to enter group classes already in progress
- You must cancel a private lesson at least six hours in advance to schedule a make-up lesson
- Regular attendance in group classes is required to be eligible for promotion
- All sparring must be supervised by an instructor
- Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class time to allow you time to get dressed and stretch before class starts
